As a precursor to the 2018 edition of the Free State Fashion Week (FSFW) that will kick off in a few days, several fashion designers are taking part in the Arts and Craft Pop-up exhibition at Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein from 18 to 23 September.
For six days, designers will have an opportunity to display their fashion items from their respective stalls for the viewing pleasure of Mimosa Mall’s shoppers. An array of arts and craft fashion artefacts is expected to be exhibited during the event which is set to attract designers from across the province.
The exhibition will subsequently go on to run concurrently with the FSFW fashion shows between 20 and 22 September, where fashion enthusiasts from around the province and country are expected to converge and feast their eyes on some of the trendiest in-season fashion creations on the FSFW ramp at the Sun Windmill Conference Centre.
The Face of FSFW event will also take place at the Sun Windmill Conference Centre from 20 to 22 September 2018. The new ambassador of the FSFW brand will be unveiled, taking over from young top Bloemfontein model, Caitlyn Rockman, who won the title in 2017.
FSFW is a prestigious fashion and lifestyle event held in Bloemfontein with the aim of showcasing the best and most talented designers that Free State and South Africa has to offer. The event encompasses the work of top and upcoming local designers and promotes cultural diversity and creativity.
Under the theme ‘Reimagine’, this year’s event will showcase creations that seek to embrace South Africa’s rich culture and heritage through creative designs, while keeping to the season’s fashion trends and standards.
